About Rep. Greg Gilday
Rep. Greg Gilday is serving his first term as a state representative for the 10th Legislative District, which includes all of Island County and parts of Skagit and Snohomish Counties.
A lifelong Republican, Greg has been appointed as Assistant Ranking member on both the House Civil Rights and Judiciary, and the Housing, Human Services and Veterans Committees. Along with those assignments, he serves as a member of the Capital Budget Committee, which oversees many of the long-term infrastructure investments for Washington State.
Born in Stanwood, Greg grew up in Washington and Southeast Alaska. When it came time to start his family and career, he moved back to the Stanwood-Camano area. The third generation of his family to practice law, Greg also works as a realtor and is a board director and past president of a leading title and escrow company. A firm believer in community service, Greg has served on the boards of the Safe Harbor Free Clinic, Stanwood Camano Food Bank, and the Stanwood Camano Rotary Club.
Education has always been important to Greg and his family. Many Stanwood residents remember his grandmother, Louise, who taught English at the local high school. Greg's wife, Megan, teaches second grade in Mount Vernon, and their two boys attend public schools.
Greg graduated with a bachelor's degree from Western Washington University, and then earned his law degree and MBA from Seattle University.
Greg and his wife, Megan, live on Camano Island with their two sons, Laker and Graham. The family enjoys many outdoor activities, including cycling and skiing, and are active members of the Stanwood Foursquare Church where they enjoy weekly services, youth groups, and yearly mission trips.
